Inventing Your Second Act
Overview
your second act

For most men and women our First Act was consumed by mating, parenting and making a living. All too quickly we find this phase of our lives is behind us and we are entering a new phase that no longer has a name. For our parents this was called retirement, but for those of us entering this phase now, we know it's something far more than that.

While most baby boomers view retirement as a time to be active and involved, many reach this time having never figured out what it is we are really best at and love to do. Inventing Your Second Act is designed to help you to take charge of your future by taking time out to reflect and follow a process to reinvent yourself based on reassessed priorities, renewed insights and a redefined purpose.

Julie Cotton founded Your Second Act to meet the growing need for resources for baby boomers (and their slightly older siblings) to explore their wants and needs and invent their Second Acts. By working with Your Second Act you will benefit from the experience of coaches and facilitators who function much like specialized wilderness guides. We are intimately familiar with the territory to be explored and guide our clients through some tough, tricky and always interesting terrain toward their new destination. Our work with you will include stopovers in areas such as play, power, purpose, pleasure and priorities to help you invent a Second Act based on choices and full of possibilities.
